This website is a state-of-the-art tool that enables anyone with Internet access to draft and submit comments, to access dynamic features, and to be notified automatically when new materials are posted.  This new web portal provides you with an opportunity to provide your comments right in the document.

The Draft Environmental Impact Statement (Draft EIS) and Draft Management Plan for the Giant Sequoia National Monument are now available for review.  The 90-day review and comment period begins on August 6, 2010 and ends on November 3, 2010.  There are three documents available for comment:  (1) Volume 1--the Draft EIS; (2) Volume 2--Appendices for the Draft EIS, and (3) the Draft Management Plan.  Under the Supporting Documents tab for Volume 1 Draft EIS, you will find maps of the alternatives and the specialists’ reports.  The Supporting Documents tab for the Draft Management Plan has the maps for that document.  There are no supporting documents for Volume 2 of the Draft EIS.
